Doncaco International, which operates the Star Vegas Resort and Club in Cambodia and the Aristo International hotel in Vietnam, is eyeing a five-year expansion plan that could see it launch casino operations in Macao, South Korea, Japan and the Philippines, according to a Malaysian media report.

The report, which quoted Donaco CEO Joey Lim Keong Yew, said the Australian-listed company wanted to develop or purchase casinos to maintain and expand growth. Donaco registered a 61 percent lower net profit for the 2017 financial year at nearly $25 million, dragged down by a weaker top line and net nonrecurring costs of $19.3 million.
