Rouse, a UK-based intellectual property (IP) consultancy firm, opened its first dedicated office in Phnom Penh earlier this week to offer strategic portfolio management reviews, handle IP disputes and support enforcement services for large US and European law firms operating in the region, as well as new clients that have a presence in the Kingdom, the company said in a press release.

Luke Minford, CEO of Rouse, was quoted as saying that the firm will help companies and brand owners understand the complexity of Cambodia’s IP laws, which tend to be loosely enforced. The firm is now located in six Asean countries as well as having offices in China, Russia, across the Arabian Peninsula and in Africa.
