Starbucks officially opened its inaugural store in the Siem Reap International airport yesterday, according to a company press release.

The 53-square-metre store is the sixth Starbucks franchise outlet in Cambodia, and the first to be established outside of Phnom Penh.

Located near the international departure terminal, the store will be accessible to the public.

Starbucks first entered the Cambodian market through its licensed partner Coffee Concepts (Cambodia) Limited, a subsidiary of Hong Kong’s Maxim Group, in December 2015.

The company plans to open another store in Phnom Penh by the end of September.
