In neighbouring Kong Pisei district to the southeast, GTV Motor Co Ltd’s $15.6 million vehicle assembly plant is planned to deliver 738 new jobs.

In Kampong Chhnang’s Teuk Phos district, Glotec (Cambodia) Co Ltd’s $4.3 million bamboo processing facility is set to bring 141 jobs.

In western Kandal province’s Ang Snuol district, ECKL Packaging Co Ltd’s $3.1 million plastic bag factory will add 234 jobs.

In the capital’s Dangkor district, K Fine (Cambodia) Garment Co Ltd’s $3.9 million garment factory is due to create 1,220 jobs.

According to The Post’s calculations based on CDC statements, in January-May, the council approved 72 projects with total capital investment of roughly $2.66238 billion – plus or minus $3.96 million to account for rounding – which are expected to deliver 60,949 jobs, mostly in garments, footwear and travel goods.https://www.phnompenhpost.com/business/cdc-unveils-80m-investment-six-new-approvals
